Amongst other crafty endeavors, I enjoy crocheting. I don't know why, but I almost always seem to get the urge to crochet during the fall/winter more so than the other warmer months. A couple of years ago I made this cute owl contraption.
I use it mostly to hold my cotton rounds but it can hold all types of smaller items.
