I'm currently on vacation from work for two weeks and have been having a great time just laying around and doing the things that I want to do. I actually feel like a parent because I get to stay home with the baby and take my oldest daughter to school in the morning.
I was able to take a quick weekend trip to California again. I love it out there so much. It was just me from early Friday morning, to late Sunday night. I had a great time. I went to Santa Monica Beach, the 3rd Street Promenade, and did some shopping. Hopefully, I'll be able to take another trip out there before the year is out.
Anyhoo, I decided to open up another Etsy shop. I've been sewing a lot since I've been on vacation and I decided to open up a little shop to showcase and to get rid of some of them.
My new shop is called...... Material Gurl, just like my blog!!!!!
These are just a couple of the pouches that I have listed right now. I will also be adding some small sewing notions and such.

Sanrio Purchase
I bought this cute little set from the Sanrio Store while I was in California. The store was located on Hollywood Blvd inside a mall that I don't remember the name of. Anyhoo, I think its so adorable that I almost don't want to use it.
It comes with a mini sized stapler, staples, hole punch and tape.
Super Kawaii!!!!

My Trip To L.A
Last month, we took a family trip to L.A. It was absolutely amazing. It has such a different vibe from New York and I would definitely like to go back before the year is out. One of the highlights of my trip was seeing the Flynt Productions building. I love the movie The People vs. Larry Flynt and just seeing that building in real life was amazeballs.
You can see it the brown building in the back of the picture. I drove right by it, but my phone died and I didn't get to take another pic.
Another highlight was the Universal Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood. It features a tour of the backlot where they film all types of movies and shows (like Desperate Housewives which was filming as we were driving through), and a King Kong 3D ride. Worth Every Penny. Here's a couple of pictures of the set from War Of The Worlds.
And last but not least, the Fabulous Beverly Hills.....
Rodeo Drive was filled with all the glitz and glamour that you see on TV. We drove through it probably like three times but didn't dare get out of the car. I didn't want to embarrass myself lol.
