I've been ordering merchandise for my supply shop like crazy lately.  Its fun ordering and then receiving the packages in the mail and seeing all the pretty little cabochons.

What I've Been Up To

Today is officially the last day of my vacation week. I unfortunately have to go back to work on Monday (waaaaaaahhhhh). But anyway, while I was home, I got so much done in terms of the shops. I was able to work on some new pouches and was able to update some pictures. It's amazing what the crop feature can do for your pictures. I just discovered it a couple weeks ago (slow, I know).

Ahhhh-mazing lol.  I never was much of a photographer.  At least now I know. I edited these pics using picnik, but now they're shutting down picnik after April 19th. Now I'll have to find another editing website thats as user friendly as picnik is.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

It's been a while since I've posted anything on this blog. My only excuse is sheer laziness. I've been working my butt off at work, working 12hr days for the last couple of months, and when I get home the only thing I want to do is go to sleep. Unfortunately, having two little ones will prevent that from happening on a regular basis lol.

Anyhoo, a new year has begun. I don't have any resolutions. I just want to continue making my etsy shops more successful.

I have, however become preoccupied with instagram on my iphone. It's a highly addictive picture app.  Feel free to follow me @materialgurl101.

Zipper Pouch

I love this pouch!!  This is the second zippered pouch that I made courtesy of a Keyka Lou pattern.  The first one I made was the medium pouch, but this one is the small version and it's just so cute. I just listed it in the shop and I already have the pieces cut out so I can make a third one.

Its a very convenient little thing. It has two pockets, one a zippered pocket and then a main pocket behind that one.

I'll definitely be making a ton of these.

Getting Owly

Amongst other crafty endeavors, I enjoy crocheting. I don't know why, but I almost always seem to get the urge to crochet during the fall/winter more so than the other warmer months. A couple of years ago I made this cute owl contraption.

I use it mostly to hold my cotton rounds but it can hold all types of smaller items. 

Friday Favs

Well, today is officially the last weekday of my two week vacation. I had a blast; wish I could do it all over again. I was able to take my oldest daughter to school ( I normally can't do that when I have to work) and pick her up, I got to stay home with the baby and watch all the cartoon and puppet shows that she likes to watch. I got to cook, and relax and just be me.

I also got to shop online which is a favorite past time of mine. I think I kind of overdid it but I figure I deserved it.

I ordered the Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV. I like to wear makeup, but I usually don't wear it very often due to the fact that I have to be at work for 5:00am in the morning and I am usually too tired and moody to apply it that early but hopefully this will motivate me to want to put on a little something.

I also ordered these BCBG ballet flats. I'm kinda obsessed with the leopard print these days. Next I need a leopard print cardigan, and I also need to get a pair of leopard print wedges.  I can't wait for these shoes to be delivered to my door.
